Rust is a new programming language being built at Mozilla for developing reliable and efficient systems software. Rust is designed to support concurrency and parallelism, for building platforms that take full advantage of modern hardware. Its static type system is safe and expressive, and provides strong guarantees about isolation, concurrency execution, and memory safety.
Dave Herman is a programming language propeller-head at Mozilla Research. He works on JavaScript, Rust, and a number of research projects in web technology.
